There are many ways to support the Virginia Birth Center Alliance including becoming a member.  We have multiple membership levels for you to choose from.  You can also make a one-time or recurring donation here!  Your donation will help the Virginia Birth Center Alliance to:

Pay our lobbyist-we are particularly interested in expanding Medicaid recipients access to birth centers, acquiring equitable pay for birth centers by insurance companies, gaining standard maternity medication access to birth centers, and to ensure and protect birth centers from restrictive laws that would limit autonomy and access for many birthing families such as those that desire a VBAC, or twin delivery at a birth center.

Support the daily operations of our alliance- website, print materials, shipping costs, accountant, etc

Meet the legal needs of Virginia Birth Centers-we have hired Hermine Hayes-Klein, famed midwife lawyer, to advise and help protect birth center access in Virginia. She meets our legal needs, reviews by-laws, responds to situations that could affect birth centers and the clients we serve. In the future we hope to have built up a fund to support individual birth center midwives with any legal needs. 

As we grow and expand we plan on adding educational opportunities and scholarships! This is were your contribution can make the greatest impact.
